New BulbFacts Website Released

The redesigned BulbFacts website is built to make headlight research easier for the vehicle you already own, with independent bulb and kit testing, clearer charts, and a Factory Headlights section planned for a later launch.

BulbFacts continues to center the site around real products, real measurements, and real beam pattern comparisons.

BulbFacts has always been about cutting through lighting claims with repeatable testing and real-world context. The new website keeps that same purpose, but organizes the information in a way that should be faster to scan, easier to compare, and more useful on phones.

The biggest product-side change is that each bulb category can now have its own focused landing page, recommendation page, review page, and chart page. LED kits are the first fully built section in this new format, with Halogen, HID, and Xenon sections following the same structure.

Factory Headlights is still planned, but it is being held as a coming-soon section until the vehicle data, source notes, and comparison pages are ready for live visitors.

Brand refresh

A clearer BulbFacts logo

The site refresh also brings in the updated BulbFacts logo. The new mark keeps the familiar lab-tested lighting idea, but adds a stronger bulb icon, better readability at small sizes, and a cleaner look that fits the redesigned pages.

What is new

  • Cleaner recommendation pages: key picks are easier to compare, with product photos, estimated prices, buy options, review links, and chart links in one place.
  • Improved LED chart views: card view stays easier to scan, while table view holds the deeper data like lumens, color temperature, wattage, glare lux, beam pattern images, CANBUS notes, and other test details.
  • Better mobile filtering: large filter panels can be shown or hidden on small screens so the chart does not feel cramped.
  • Clearer product categories: LED, Halogen, HID, and Xenon each have their own visual theme while the broader site uses a quieter general style.
  • Factory Headlights coming soon: the vehicle-focused research section is being cleaned up before launch so it can publish with reliable source notes, image handling, and comparison pages.
  • More testing context: the home page and support pages now explain more about the scoring scale, independent testing process, affiliate links, donations, and why BulbFacts does not accept sponsored rankings or paid review outcomes.
  • More visual proof: video review thumbnails, product photos, beam pattern images, and test bench photos are being brought closer to the data instead of sitting off to the side.

Why the change matters

Headlight decisions are not simple. A bulb can be bright but still be a poor choice if the beam pattern is messy, glare is high, color is harsh, power draw is excessive, or the product does not behave well in a particular vehicle. A factory system can also look good on paper while the best lighting is limited to a specific trim or package. The redesign is meant to make those tradeoffs easier to see before someone buys a kit or chooses a vehicle.

It also gives BulbFacts a cleaner structure for future updates. When a product appears in recommendations, reviews, charts, and category pages, the goal is to keep that information consistent and easier to maintain as new products are tested.

Same mission, broader research: independent headlight testing and lighting analysis that helps drivers make better decisions without relying only on marketing claims.

Where to start

If you already own the vehicle and want to improve the headlights, start with the product type that matches your setup: LED kits, halogen bulbs, aftermarket HID kits, or Xenon bulbs. Each section now has its own overview, recommendations, reviews, and chart data where available.

The Factory Headlights link stays in the menu as a coming-soon preview while that section is prepared.

As always, BulbFacts is supported by affiliate links and donations. Those links help keep the test bench running, but the results and recommendations are based on the testing, not sponsorships or paid placements.
