The drive for the perfect bulb

With so many choices, generic claims on the back of packaging, and outrageous claims from some aftermarket kits, BulbFacts began testing mainstream brand bulbs as well as aftermarket products.

Our goal is simple: test headlight bulbs in a way that helps the individual buyer find the right product for their vehicle. That means looking past the marketing and comparing real measurements, beam behavior, color, construction, price, and the practical details that matter after installation.

We know there is no single "best" bulb for every driver. A product that looks great in one housing may be the wrong fit in another, so our charts, recommendations, and reviews are meant to give shoppers a better starting point than packaging claims alone.
